Before and afters of a recent lawn restoration project.
We had to address multiple issues including poor quality sod from the original builder, exposed sod mesh, high heat exposure, lots of dead material at soil level and 3 tiers to work on.
- We mowed, dethatched, aerated and prepped the whole area.
- We went a step beyond 'top dressing' and re-soiled the whole surface with good quality soil/compost mix to a depth of 2" so the new seed has a good, healthy base to grow into.
- We went with a 50/50 grass seed and micro-clover blend which will be much more heat and drought resistant and retain green cover for a good part of the year. It even stays green under a light snow.
More pics to be added once the new growth begins to happen. 🙂
