Hello from Steve and Estha!
We’re the founders and hands-on owners of this lovely little landscape maintenance company based near central Maple Ridge.

If you’ve found your way here, you may be asking yourself what it would really be like to work with us — and whether we’d be a good fit for each other.

That’s exactly how we see it too.

We’re not just looking for people to ‘do the job’. We’re inviting the right people to grow with us — and making sure this feels like somewhere you’d genuinely want to be.

We’re a small, close crew with a lot of heart and solid work ethics. We spend our days working hard together, solving problems together, and supporting each other. Over time, that kind of shared effort starts to feel a lot like an extended family.

We are dedicated to making GGandG a solid, welcoming, work place you’re proud to call your work home.

Why We Started GGandG

We’ve both worked for and dealt with too many companies that were disorganized, careless, or treated people like they were easily replaceable.
After more than 10 years in home services, we heard far too many stories about unreliable contractors and disappointing service.

So we decided to build and offer something better.

We believe in supporting and encouraging each other, building people up and creating both a workplace and a service that makes people happy and feel genuinely valued.

We also believe in staying active — in building strength, working outdoors, and living in a way that keeps us moving and engaged.
This kind of work fits who we are.

We’ve been friends for over 25 years, married, and working together for more than a decade. Between us, we have decades of gardening, property maintenance, business, marketing, and operational experience.

• We care about doing things properly.
• We care about treating people with respect.
• We care about creating an environment where people aren’t just another number.
• We care about building something we’d be proud to hand over one day.

Right now, we still work full-time in the field while running the company behind the scenes.
We’re building this organically, systematically, intentionally, and with high standards.

Where We’re Headed

In just three short years, we’ve grown from the two of us to:

• Us and 2 full-time crew members
• 2 additional part-time / casual team members
• And up to 7 or 8 people on larger projects
• Over 45 5-Star reviews between Google and Facebook

Along the way, some wonderful people have stepped in to help us manage the steady growth as more work came in.

Now we’re at the stage where we’re looking for longer-term crew members — people who genuinely love what GGandG represents in our communities and want to be a meaningful part of where we’re headed.

As the demand for our services continues to grow…

Over the next 3–5 years our plan is to expand to 3 to 4 full-time crews, along with additional part-time and casual team members.

While we always enjoy working in the field, eventually the two of us will step more fully into leadership, growth, and marketing roles so the crew can have more consistent full-time work in the field.

Our long-term vision is simple:
• Build a respected local company.
• Provide our communities with a reliable, helpful and trustworthy service.
• Create meaningful, worthwhile, local employment opportunities.
• And one day… because we decided to start GGandG in our 50s… hand the company and highly recognizable local brand over to the most capable, passionate, hard-working team members who help us build it.

What We’re Offering Right Now:

At this stage, we’re hiring for:

• Part-time and casual positions, mostly Monday to Friday, some Saturdays.
• Occasional shifts (as needed)
• Flexible availability

Ideally:
• You can schedule around variable workdays
• You can be available on short notice
• You’re open to gradually taking on more responsibility over time 

Starting pay is $25–$28/hour, depending on experience.
Bonuses and yearly increases are based on hours and performance.

This isn’t guaranteed full-time work — yet.
It’s an opportunity to connect early, see what working together would be like, and grow with us as we expand.

The Work Itself

This is physical, outdoor work from March through November.
Just like lighter and heavier work out days, some days feel like steady movement, some days push you and build you up.

Landscape upkeep and beautification takes someone who:

• Enjoys working outdoors in typical West Coast weather

• Is comfortable using tools and power equipment

• Is able to drive or learn to drive a highly branded pickup truck responsibly — even better if you’re comfortable with a trailer!

• Can occasionally work up to 10 feet on an orchard ladder

• Has strong stamina and functional strength

• Can lift heavy garden bags and move loaded tarps

• Shows up reliably

• Takes responsibility

• Has a no-excuses mindset

• Works well independently and contributes positively to a team

• Takes pride in serving the community

Experience in lawn care or gardening is valuable.
But character matters more.
We can teach techniques.
We can’t teach heart.
